Once you book your session with me I can go more in depth about your session, but here is a brief list of FAQs:

1. What is required to book a session with Blooming Images?

A. To book with me, you will simply fill out the form here and I will respond within 24 hours. Once we chat and determine a date, I will send you an invoice for the deposit to hold your spot. For newborn sessions- Your due date goes on the calendar so I know your newborn session is coming up.

2. What is the deposit and when is the remaining due?

A. I require a $100+tax deposit to hold your spot on the calendar. This amount goes toward the total amount of your package booked. The remaining balance is due before your session takes place. If you choose the Belly to Baby Package (my most popular), then it will be split in half and the first half is due before your maternity session and the second half is due before your newborn session.

3. Do you offer payment plans?

A. Yes! Just ask. Full amount still needs to be paid before your session takes place.

4. How far in advance can I book?

A. The more advance, the better! I always leave a spot on my calendar on the weekends in case someone calls me after the baby is born and we need to get them in, but I prefer booking in advance since my calendar fills up fast.

5. What time frame do you recommend for maternity photos?

A. Between 32-36 weeks.

6. How old are the babies when you photograph them?

A. I like to photograph babies between 4-14 days old. This is the primetime when they are still able to be squished up. There are special circumstances and I am a bit flexible if the baby was born early  or was in the NICU, so no worries there!

7. What do I need to bring to the newborn session?

A. I highly encourage a pacifier, and that's it! Babies aren't used to being posed so a pacifier helps them settle. I supply everything else from wraps to headbands, bonnets to baskets!

8. Can I bring something special like an heirloom?

A. Of course! This will also be mentioned in your newborn prep email. Just let me know what it is before you come so I can set up that shot.

9. How is the session set up?

A. During your consultation we will discuss what types of colors you are drawn to. Most of the time I will ask what the colors of the nursery are and go from there. Some moms of boys like blues and grays and some like green. Some moms of girls like purple and not pink, so it is important for me to style your session according to the colors you like.

10. How does the floral add-on work?

A. I work exclusively with Stephanie Yardman Floral Design to fulfill this additional option. I will talk with you about a color scheme and Stephanie will grab florals that are in season. Stephanie and I will work together during the entire newborn session to style and design each pose with the florals.
